Well, my journey to education was a long one. I subbed for the Cherokee School District for four years. After that, I took a part-time position here at SOS which then turned into a full-time one. I've been in the classroom in one way or another for almost 11 years.

I am PASSIONATE about live theatre! In fact, my degree is in theatre, and I worked as a manager for a few playhouses for several years. I love to direct, act, and stage manage. Production design is also something I really enjoy doing. My family pitches in whenever I am part of a show, too.

I have been married for 23 years to Kyle. We have two sons who are SUCH awesome people! Russel Crowe once described his child as a kiss from God, and that is how I feel about my kids, too. We also have a Chihuahua, Stella. However, SHE adopted US - we found her in a bucket in our garage. She is super smart and we are blessed to have her.

I am on the Tech crew here at SOS. I am also the new Quiz Bowl coach. Both of these opportunities are scary because they are new, but they are also really exciting - for the same reason. So far, I have really enjoyed both of these experiences.

Teaching middle school is awesome, and I feel SO lucky to be here at SOS. I have great colleagues and students. I am truly blessed and lucky.
