Shown below are the Lewis structures for acetone (left) and for hexane (right). Using one solid dot for each for the three pens whose pigments did not migrate with the water solvent, repeat the study in an acetone and a hexane solvent (see drawing on board for set up).
Make a drawing of your results for each solvent. What do you results tell you about the polarities of the pigments in the remaining three pens? Be prepared to share answer.
