Project Instructions
Challenge
- Merge the "Scratch" programming language and the "MakeyMakey" microprocessor to create an interactive model of a generic Eukaryotic Animal Cell that will be gifted to 6th grade biology students.
Requirements/Grading
- Stable, physical model (paper, foam/cardboard, wood, plastic, etc. No play-doh). Contained and protected MakeyMakey - 5 pts
- Depicts the below cellular components - 5 pts
- Phospholipid Bilayer
- Mitochondria
- Golgi Apparatus
- Endoplasmic Reticulum (Smooth and Rough in one "event")
- Ribosomes
- Nucleus
- Lysosomes
- Cytoplasm
- Cytoskeleton
