About the Special Olympics Northern California 2023 Summer Games
Santa Clara University will host the Special Olympics Northern California and their 2023 Summer Games. Approximately 900 athletes and volunteer coaches from Northern California will compete or coach in: bocce, swimming, tennis and track & field. Leading into Summer Games, athletes train for 6-to-8 weeks and then compete in regional competitions for each sport.
Summer Games will commence on Friday, June 23th, with Opening Ceremonies at the Stevens Stadium on Buckshaw Field at 7:00pm. Competitions will take place from Saturday, June 24th through Sunday, June 25th, at various facilities on the Santa Clara University Campus and at Cupertino High School. There is no admission fee to watch Opening Ceremonies or the competitions.
