About Mike
A little bit about me...
Welcome to Solon High School and the Solon High School Counseling website! I am Mike Thompson and the 2023 - 2024 school year is my 23rd year as the School Counselor at Solon High School. Overall, this is my 30th year as a Professional School Counselor.
I am a father of three daughters: Mairen (age 25), Kaleigh (age 23) and Emma (age 22). I enjoy spending time with my daughters, traveling to new places, watching athletic events and discovering new things.Â
Being a Professional School Counselor is an exciting profession. Working with adolescents is very rewarding. We have great students here at Solon HS. The Solon Community School District has tremendous resources, none greater, however, then the students, faculty and staff that make up this school district. The counseling staff in our district is committed to "helping students help themselves."
