SCHS Dual Enrollment Process
What is Dual Enrollment?
Georgia’s Dual Enrollment Program provides students enrolled at an eligible public or private high school or home study program in Georgia the opportunity to earn high school and college credit at a participating eligible postsecondary institution in Georgia.
Georgia’s Dual Enrollment Program offers students the opportunity to experience college courses and begin their college academic career while still in high school and provides for standard tuition, mandatory fees and required books.
The program is offered during all terms of the school year.

NEW to Dual Enrollment?
Follow the steps below.
Step 1:
ATTEND Mandatory New to Dual Enrollment Meeting (YOU AND PARENT)
Thursday, January 19th from 6-7:30pm in the Cafeteria
Friday, January 20th from 12-1pm in the Media Center
Saturday, January 21st from 9-10am in the Media Center
Step 2:
COMPLETE purple teacher recommendation. You get this form at the Mandatory New to Dual Enrollment Meeting. You MUST have this form completed to attend the Dual Enrollment Planning Meeting.
Step 3:
ATTEND Dual Enrollment Planning Session. You will receive your Orange Planning form at this meeting. Please being your triplicate registration form. These forms must be completed after the planning session (including signatures) for you to register for Dual Enrollment classes for 23-24.
Friday, January 27th in the Media Center
Offered 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 3A, 4A, and 4B (NOT OFFERED 3B)
Step 4:
Follow steps outlined in Dual Enrollment Google Classroom.
Ensure you are added to the 23/24 Remind and Google Classroom for the following school year to receive accurate information.
Once students have committed to the Dual Enrollment process, they will be added to the SCHS Dual Enrollment Google Classroom. The Google Classroom will hold all SCHS steps for Dual Enrollment. Additional steps may be required by the college and are the responsibility of the student to complete.
RETURNING to Dual Enrollment?
Follow the steps below.
Step 1:
ATTEND Dual Enrollment Planning Session. You will receive your Orange Planning form at this meeting. Please being your triplicate registration form. These forms must be completed after the planning session (including signatures) for you to register for Dual Enrollment classes for 23-24.
You do NOT need to complete purple teacher recommendation form IF you have successfully completed DE courses.

****Students with an IEP or 504 should note that their services are not automatically transferred to the college they are attending for dual enrollment. The student should contact student services at the college to determine what is needed to qualify for modifications/accommodations.
