CURRICULUM

The Social Circle Academy of Learning Excellence is a program provided by the Social Circle School System for High School & Middle School students from a home school, home study or private school background. In this program, students take classes virtually with real instructors through a program called Edgenuity. They receive course credit for passing and completing courses, just as in the traditional school setting. In addition, as a result of recent legislation, students in SCALE are also eligible to participate in JROTC, Band, and athletics at Social Circle Middle and High School.

ACCESS TO NEW OPPORTUNITIES

Many classes offered through SCALE are classes that are unavailable via home-school, home study or at some private schools. SCALE gives these students access to new educational opportunities.

PUBLIC SCHOOL AMENITIES

Interested in sports, clubs or joining Band or a Raiders team? You can do that with SCALE! As a SCALE student, you are qualified to participate in all tryouts, practices and games.*

VIRTUAL LEARNING, NOT REMOTE LEARNING

It's very easy to interchange these two terms, but we pride ourselves on proactively launching a tried and true virtual, educational platform in August of 2020, prior to the reactive remote learning response of many educational institutions in March of 2020.

As such, our SCALE-dedicated teaching team, through Edgenuity, are full-time virtual teachers, not stretching their time between in-person & remote students, thus providing consistent instruction modeled for a virtual student. Not only do our students have access to their teacher, they have expanded access to tutors Monday through Saturday at the click of a button!

Our students have an entire support system, dedicated to help them succeed, during and after school hours!
