Because we do not mandate many synchronous classes and because we value individual learning journeys, our teachers are available to meet with students to support their learning. Whether that is meeting to help a student learn the material, or meeting to talk about moving the learning toward mastery, our amazing professional content teachers believe in meeting every student where they are.
SROHS teachers are experts in their content fields. They have many resources to offer and are engaged in discussions with students on a frequent basis. Students can email, text, call, or schedule an appointment to meet with teachers. Our teachers are flexible in their scheduling and can often meet with students the same day.

The teachers are supportive and quick with responses, leading the student on the correct path if they are lost.
You have a mentor teacher, and other teachers who are incredibly receptive to feedback and giving feedback.
My teachers give me very helpful sources about subjects, which is really helpful so that I'm not searching for a good source for forever. I've also found it most helpful when me and my teacher meet throughout the week and just have a conversation about my topic. I learn the most from my teachers talking about the subject, when I can ask questions and receive clarity.
This year has been fantastic. Teacher have posted great ideas for the students to choose from, like doing a research on 9-11, book clubs, teacher student interaction with Spanish, mentoring classes, and tutoring. These are great in helping the students see ideas to process through and find something they love. [My student] LOVES the interactive teacher classes! I love the "Percent completion rate" and "Total submission" sheets you put out this year it really helps both parent and student to know where they are.
