Mastery means the student shows what they, how they know it, and how they will use. Students engage in the feedback cycle with content teachers to grow toward mastery. They will use the feedback cycle to reach mastery of all content.
Mastery work includes 3 key characteristics:
Complexity: The work shows depth of knowledge and application to the real world. Instead of just correct answers, it shows the thinking behind the answers.
Craftsmanship: The work shows quality construction and aesthetic appeal. It is legible and visually appealing. It is a finished product.
Authenticity: The work shows connection to the students' interests and the real world as well as other learning.

[SROHS] lets me be able to work at my own pace while the teachers are telling me what I can do to improve.
I think that [SROHS does] this very well, and have a good set up for mastery. I like that my teachers generally ask me if I feel like I've achieved mastery or if I feel like I need to learn more about a subject. I think that the teachers do a good job giving a student mastery based on their knowledge of a subject.
