In EDAD 614 I was given the opportunity to observe a colleague and provide them with feedback based on our district's instructional observation form. This lesson was given as part of instructional rounds that were being done for NGSS teaching practices. This process gave me the experience to feel comfortable providing feedback to other teachers, and going forward as a department chair, I have used this by making it a goal to get into classrooms this year and inviting others into my room to promote a culture of peer teaching and learning.
This Case Study on a current administrator was also part of the EDAD 614 process. In looking at the workings of Mr. Baker, it was clear that his focus was on student and teacher growth for the good of all on campus. He also exhibits the attitude of professional growth, which reminds me that to require personal growth of others, you have to first be willing to pursue growth for yourself.
