FIRE Carrier Excursion

On the 29th of March the FIRE Carriers went on an excursion to Melbourne. We asked some FIRE Carriers what they did.

We asked Karl what he did and this was his answer. "We went to Melbourne to learn more about Aboriginals and how they got got more rights and their culture. They write parts of their lives into possum skin and get wrapped in the skin once they pass away."

Here is Charlie's answer to the same question. "We went to Bunjilaka and learnt that there was a lot of weapons they used. I also learnt that the boat they used could hold up to 40-60 people also the British disrespected the Aboriginals. The way they made fire was they used a piece wood that would have a hole in it. They would have a stick that they would put into the hole and rub their hands with the stick in it to create the fire.
