DATE: Thursday, September 2, 2021

LOCATION: Wyandotte County Park, 126th & State Ave. (24/40), shelter F

PARKING: Spectator parking in the Amphitheater back lot across from shelter F. Bus parking only along Wyandotte County Park Rd (first left turn)

SCHEDULE: Middle School Coaches meeting at 2:30pm at Shelter F High School Coaches meeting at 4:00pm at Shelter F

3:15 pm--7th grade girls (two mile course)

3:40 pm--7th grade boys (two mile course)

4:05 pm--8th grade girls (two mile course)

4:30 pm--8th grade boys (two mile course)

4:55 pm--HS GIRLS (5k course, all athletes) 5:45 pm--HS BOYS (5k course, all athletes) 6:30 pm--High School Division awards

(ALL RACES WILL BE COMPLETED BEFORE NEXT RACE BEGINS)

AWARDS:

7th grade girls / boys→ Top 20 places 8th grade girls / boys→ Top 20 places HS girls / boys→ Top 30 places

**all MS medals will be handed out at the finish line**

Team trophies will be awarded to the top 3 teams in the HS boys race and the top 3 teams in the HS girls race.

CHUTE ASSIGNMENTS: Will be designated at the time of packet pickup.

SCORING: We have hired KC Running Company again this year and will have chip timing. Please use the chip ties provided and DO NOT have athletes tie the timing chips into their shoes. Results will be given to coaches before departure if possible, and will be emailed within 24 hours. HS races: The top 5 athletes from each team will score points with the 6th and 7th runners being used as a displacer in the event of a tie. Any runners after that will be eligible for a medal if they are in the top 30 finishers but not eligible to score points for the team.

T-SHIRTS: Our friends from M&A designs will be selling T-shirts in a variety of colors so please encourage your athletes to bring money if they would like a shirt (designed attached.)

There have been times in the past when we had to delay the races because of excessive heat. We have been fortunate the last few years and have not had to alter our schedule but as always the health and well-being of the athletes is our primary concern. However, we do apologize ahead of time for any inconvenience. Please see the Emergency Action Plan attached to this letter.

Lastly, we have a great partnership with Wyandotte County Parks and Recreation please continue to help us take care of this beautiful park. Also, in the case of heavy rains, it will be up to Wyco P&R to decide if we race or not. We will communicate that through email and phone.
