Register now to receive information on how to order professional photos taken at graduation.
▶️SENIOR SURVEYS
All seniors are required by the district to complete two short surveys; this is not optional. PLEASE COMPLETE ASAP!
Survey #1 - Located on the student’s Skyward account.
Skyward Survey is located on the student’s skyward account under “online forms”. This survey is now open for seniors to complete. Some seniors may have already completed the survey.
Survey #2 - Located on the SMSD website.
This survey asks for students to report scholarship information (amounts of scholarships offered and amounts of scholarships accepted). This survey is also where seniors will indicate where they want their final transcript to be sent. Students must provide a stamped addressed legal-size envelope if they plan to attend a college other than JCCC, KU, KSU or Pitt State. Students should write their name on the inside of the flap of the envelope and give the envelope to Mrs. Ramsey, registrar. She is in the main office. 2023-24 Survey link
Senior's Last Day & Graduation Rehearsal May 17, 2024:
7:40-9:15 am: 1st hour final
8:00 am - Begin checkout process in the gym for students that do NOT have a 1st hour
9:15-10:15 am: Senior Breakfast (cafeteria – provided and run by NW PTSA)
10:15-11:00 am: Senior Check-Out
11:00 am: Rehearsal and Cap & Gown Pick up
Graduation Announcements:
Announcements will be at NW April 2, 2024.

Graduation Night:
May 22nd, 2024 at 7:00 pm
Shawnee Mission North Stadium
Graduation programs will be available Graduation night.
Ceremony is scheduled to take place outdoors. Students may have unlimited guests if it is outdoors.
In the case of inclement weather, graduation ceremony will be relocated indoors. Each student will receive 6 tickets for guests if it is indoors.
Notes on Cap and Gowns:
Cap, gown and tassel will be sent to NW and given to Seniors in MAY at graduation rehearsal, along with tickets.
The only REQUIRED purchase is the cap, gown, tassel and stoll. They are yours to keep. Their cost together is $30.
No decorations are allowed on your cap.
Notes on Rings, Jackets, etc.:
Jackets must be paid in full when ordered (sizing chart--jostens.com). They will be shipped to the home.
Rings have payment options (sizing chart--look in graduation packet given to student). They must be paid in full before being shipped to home.
Deadlines:
Ordering opens October 19th.
Orders need to be completed by November 1st.
Jostens will meet with all graduating seniors Thursday, October 19th 2023 at 10:25 am for cap and gown orders. Cost is $30. Orders will need to be placed online by November 1st. Contact Jostens at 785-843-2967 or email jeff.heline@jostens.com
