Graduation is Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 7:00 pm

Graduation To-dos

• LAST DAY OF SCHOOL INFO - see flyers above! 

• Check Skyward to see if you have any fees that need to be paid. Fees should be paid by May 1! 

• If you have excess money in your lunch account you can request a refund from School Nutrition Services or request that your excess funds go to another graduating senior in need to cover their lunch balance.

• GradImages (Order Professional Photos) Register now!

• Order your yearbook! Order here through Walsworth. Last day to order is April 15, 2026. Additional copies may be available on the last day of school. There is no guarantee though!

• Jostens SMNW Website (Cap & Gown)

  • If you missed the Cap & Gown order due date of October 31, 2025, please contact Jostens at 785-843-2967 or email jeff.heline@jostens.com

  • Jostens will met with all graduating seniors on October 16, 2025 during Seminar to give them ordering information for caps, gowns, stoles, grad announcements and other items. Online order orders will need to be placed online by Oct. 31, 2025.

• Christa McAuliffe Elementary - Wed. may 13 at 3:30 pm in the McAuliffe lobby

• Mill Creek - Wed. May 13 from 3:30 - 4:00 pm in the Mill Creek Library 

• Ray Marsh - Thurs. May 14 from 3:30- 4:30 pm in the Ray Marsh Library

Notes on Cap and Gowns

• Cap, gown and tassel will be sent to NW and given to Seniors in MAY at graduation rehearsal, along with tickets.

• The only REQUIRED purchase is the cap, gown, tassel and stole. They are yours to keep. Their cost together is $30.

• No decorations are allowed on your cap.

• Caps/Gowns/Stoles will be picked up the day of graduation rehearsal.

Notes on Rings, Jackets, etc.

• Jackets must be paid in full when ordered (sizing chart--jostens.com). They will be shipped to the home.

• Rings have payment options (sizing chart--look in graduation packet given to student). They must be paid in full before being shipped to home.

Graduation Announcements

• Announcements will be sent to NW. 

  • *If you cannot pick them up at this time, please stop by the counseling office to get them. Questions about announcements? Contact jeniavanhorn@smsd.org 

Graduation Night 

Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 7:00 pm

• Shawnee Mission North District Stadium

• Students must be there NO LATER than 5:45 pm.

• Graduation programs will be available Graduation night.

• Ceremony is scheduled to take place outdoors. Students may have unlimited guests if it is outdoors.

• In the case of inclement weather, graduation ceremony will be relocated indoors. Each student will receive 6 tickets for guests if it is indoors. (This number may change depending on the number of seniors graduating -- final numbers will be given in May.)

Senior Surveys

All seniors are required by the district to complete two short surveys; this is not optional. These will be available as of April 3, 2026.
