Early Childhood Environment

SMPNS follows a completely play-based approach to learning that also allows for freedom of movement throughout the day. The indoor space and outdoor space are both essential classroom areas that offer children engagement throughout the day. 

The SMPNS staff is committed to providing a safe and open environment where children are free to grow as individuals. We provide support for social interactions.  We help facilitate discussions and problem solving.  Our environment is one that empowers children. We are trustworthy. We are a socially safe environment.  We talk about everything. We learn through our experiences. By exploring all domains of child development, and using primarily child-led activities with thoughtful adult-led activities, we establish strong foundations for future success.
