Smithdon Music Department

Welcome to music at Smithdon High School! By coming here you will be entering a school with an active and engaging music programme. We offer a wide array of activities for you to get involved in. Throughout your time working within the music department you will be given many opportunities to engage with the community, including performing for the school and the wider community.

The goal of our music programme is not to make everyone a professional musician, but to help everyone develop a love for music and to provide an opportunity for all students, no matter their background, to learn how to play a musical instrument, be capable of writing simple musical compositions and be able to analyse the music you hear daily.
