Vocabulary for Week of 8/17/2026- These are words that we have been learning in our stories

Cabin- a small house, built in a simple or rough way
Offer- an idea or item that you present to be accepted or refused
Campsite- the place you set up your tent when you go camping
Legend- a story that has been told for a long time; many people know the story but it can’t be proven true
Cliff- a high, steep surface of rock
Bone- the hard parts inside of a person or animal
Expert- someone who knows a lot about a specific thing
College- a school you go to after high school
T. rex- a large, meat eating North American dinosaur that walked on its hind legs
Reptile- a type of animal that includes dinosaurs, snakes, and lizards
Scraped- removed from a surface by rubbing with something sharp or rough
Site- a place where something happens or where something will be built
Plaster- a paste made of sand, lime, and water that becomes hard when it dries
Crane- a machine with a tall arm that can more up and down or around in a circle to lift and move heavy objects
Lab- a place where a scientist or doctor works
