Students have ben asked to read 20 minutes daily. This will not be counted against them, but it is something great for them to do. It helps build reading skills.

**If they do not finish with classwork, this will turn into homework. Students are given until 2:55 everyday to finish any classwork. At this time, we make sure they put this in their folder to work on at home. 

Students will not have homework unless it is practice math skills or a reading story for the week. You are familiar with how it works. I will send them home with a book and a paper for you to sign to show they have read it. If the book is below their reading level and they had absolutely no trouble reading it, let me know. If they seemed to struggle with the book they were given, let me know so I can find them something on their level and build those skills. If you happen to lose the reading log, please let me know and I will send home another copy. I have attached a copy on this page for you as well. You can also write it on a piece of paper and turn it in.
