The app will need to be updated before testing. Make sure to launch the app before the test day. It will update itself and relaunch. Once it's updated, test the app, following the instructions below: Test Your Device.

Once the installation is finished, run the device test (shown below) to make sure there are no issues.

MacOS 12 (Monterey) or later, with 1GB free drive space.
MacOS 15 is supported. MacOS 26 is not supported.
Windows 10 or 11, with at least 1GB free drive space. CollegeBoard recommends upgrading to Windows 11 before the test.
An Apple ID is required to install the Bluebook application from the App Store. Follow the link here to install Bluebook from the App Store.
You may be asked to provide your Apple ID password. After that the application should be downloaded and installed.
Download the application from CollegeBoard here.
Click on the downloaded file to launch the installer.
The application will install itself and launch automatically. You may be asked to confirm the installation.
Once you have installed the application and launched it, click on the Test Your Device button at the top right of the application's window.
You should see a result like the following:
If the application reports any errors, let your teacher know so this can be resolved before test day.
