Physics, the foundation of all science, seeks to explain the 'why' of the universe. From the smallest constituents of matter to the vast distances of space, physics describes the fundamental principles that govern our physical world.
I grew up in the Midwest of the United States before migrating to Portland Oregon in the late 90s, where I worked as a design engineer in the semiconductor industry. After an economic downturn, I decided at the age of 28, that it was time for a college degree and went to community college where I earned a perfect GPA and a full scholarship to Portland State University. I graduated with honors in 2008 and moved to Japan shortly thereafter. I was lucky enough to join St. Mary's faculty a number of years later as the resident IB Physics specialist, and the rest is history.
I have a wife and two daughters and I enjoy long walks and blowing things up. My enormously popular YouTube channel now has 64 (*edit: over 600!) subscribers, which is frankly too many.
