Meet the Director:
Miss Hannah Shively is a teacher and performer based in Kent, Ohio. In May 2022, she graduated Summa Cum Laude as an Honors Scholar with Distinction from the Dana School of Music. There, she earned a bachelor's degree in Instrumental Music Education. In April 2023, she concluded her first year of graduate school at Bowling Green State University. She put her master's degree on hold in pursuit of a dream: to teach and perform in South Carolina. She got that dream out of her system and returned home to the beautiful state of Ohio. Miss Shively is the current Director of Orchestras in Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools, which is where she Student Taught in the Spring of 2022. She is passionate about guiding her students towards non-traditional repertoire and focusing upon works by women and BIPOC composers. She is also a member of several professional music organizations including the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA), the American String Teachers Association (ASTA), and the Associated Chamber Music Players (ACMP).
