The Low Voltage Panel is the primary wiring hub for the front of the vehicle. All low voltage connections from the battery box, control box, and dashboard interface here through the low voltage panel rail(RLVP). The Panel also supports all the 12 volts relays that perform the logic needed to turn on the vehicle, power high beams, activate the pack contactor and prevent driving away while charging.
took inventory (missing 2 pieces)
These were the tools that we needed for that day
This is the frame for the dashboard that will have all of the switches and buttons
Day 2
Started setting up the low voltage panel rail onto the frame
This is the cycle analyst rail and the flasher unit
Inserting the cables into the panel rail
some of the cables were numbered wrong so we had to make edits and look into schematics to figure out where the cables go
In order to insert the wires into the slots on the panel rail you need to insert a flat head into the colored box and pry open the slot to insert the wire
Day 3
we finished the low voltage panel rail and it is just waiting to get attached to other peoples projects so that it can function correctly. there coulnd be some problems that may occur because of fasle labeling
A closer image of the completed panel rail
underneath the board is the cables attached with screws
there was only one set of washer for each bolt so we had to put the washer first then the wire, and then the bolt.
The full Completed Dashboard ready to mount to the car
there was a problem with the Highbeam switch, on the back of the switch are 3 prongs for the 3 cables but the cables are way to big for the prongs and they get in the way. so we decided to bend the prongs on the side a little to give more way for the cables to sink in.
using the mounts on the car and the holes on the board to attach the component on there
The cables were attached to the brakes of the car and all of the dashboard electronics
Cable routing to the back of the car where the high voltage electricals are located
