7 - Scholarship Fair at USMSM (formerly Higher Education Center on Airport Rd, Building 3) 4:30-6:30pm

23 - Recommended submission date 

March 2024

1 - Online applications and supporting documentation submitted to BECA by 11:59pm. Deadline was extended to March 5, due to technical difficulties

Ongoing - Students who have submitted an application by the deadline should edit their application and add their SAI in the appropriate box, and upload their FSS in the newly added question near the bottom of the application. Students will also need to make a new pdf of the the application and replace the earlier version. 

15 - Providers receive applications for their scholarships

April 2024

26 (new date) - Scholarship recipients alerted by providers Note: Some scholarships may take more time as this has been a very difficult year with the delay in FAFSA processing.  Email SMCBECA@gmail.com with any questions. 

May 2024

1 - Scholarship recipients posted on the BECA site

Thursday, May 9, 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Scholarship Awards Ceremony at the USMSM (formerly Higher Education Center on Airport Rd, Building 3) Note: Any student receiving an award  will be invited to attend with their family to be recognized.  If you have been notified of an award, but did not receive and invitation, contact BECA at smcbeca@gmail.com. 

Spring and Summer 2024

Some providers will hold their individual awards events. Providers contact students directly. 

July 15. Checks sent to colleges for the providers who request BECA process their payments
