TBA. Orientation meeting for new scholarship providers and for new staff of existing providers.

November 2024

Date TBA. Kickoff meeting for all scholarship providers. 

January 2025

5 - The St. Mary's County Common Scholarship Application available online

February 2025

First week, date TBA- Scholarship Fair at USMSM (formerly Higher Education Center on Airport Rd, Building 3) 4:30-6:30pm

March 2025

3 - Online applications and supporting documentation submitted to BECA by 11:59pm.

12 - Providers receive applications for their scholarships

April 2025

25 - Scholarship recipients alerted by providers 

May 2025

1 - Scholarship recipients posted on the BECA site

second week date TBA - Scholarship Awards Ceremony at the USMSM (formerly Higher Education Center on Airport Rd, Building 3) from 4pm - 6pm.  Note: Any student receiving an award will be invited to attend with their family to be recognized.  If you have been notified of an award, but did not receive an invitation, contact BECA at smcbeca@gmail.com. 

Summer 2025

Note: Some providers will hold their individual awards events in May or June. Providers contact students directly.  

July 15 - Checks sent to colleges for the providers who request BECA process their payments will be distributed.
