☃️ Snow Day Adjustments for the 2025-2026 School Year ☃️

SMCPS:

• Monday, February 16, 2026 (President’s Day) was previously a holiday (all schools and offices closed) and is now an approved school day for all students and staff. 

• Monday, April 6, 2026 (Easter Monday) will be a school day due to an inclement weather make-up day.

• SMCPS will utilize the three identified built-in days at the end of the school year as student days (June 5th, June 8th, and June 9th) making the last student day June 9, 2026 (subject to change).

Chesapeake Public Charter School (CPCS):

• Monday, February 16, 2026 (President’s Day) was previously a holiday (all schools and offices closed) and is now an approved school day for all students and staff. 

• Friday, March 13, 2026 (Professional Development/Responsibilities) will be a school day with a two-hour early dismissal due to an inclement weather make-up day.

• CPCS will utilize the three identified built-in days at the end of the school year as student days (June 10th, June 11th, and June 12th) making the last student day June 12, 2026 (subject to change).

• Tuesday, June 16, 2026 will be the last day for 10-month staff.

• Tuesday, June 30, 2026 will be the last day for 11-month staff. 

💰 Pay Day Adjustments for July 2026 💰

The adjustment to the pay calendar ensures that all contractual work days are completed before you are paid.  This adjustment occurs every few years. For July 2026, all SMCPS employees will be paid on:

• Friday, June 26, 2026

• Wednesday, July 15, 2026

• Friday, July 31, 2026

• Friday, August 14, 2026
