Band

4th and 5th grade students may sign up to play an instrument in 

band class! 

Students and Parents: please take some time to learn more about the instrument choices for elementary band by clicking each link below. 

As you explore, please keep in mind: 

• Your student will need other materials with their instrument. Each instrument's required materials are listed on its page on this website. 

• Instrument rental options through SMCPS are limited.  Instruments can be rented from local music stores that will provide repairs as needed. 

• Please read the considerations for each instrument to find the right choice for your child.
