Symphonic Band 

The symphonic is the advanced ensemble at CHS that consists of woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments. Students must audition to be placed in symphonic band, and have the proper pre requisite classes (Concert band, percussion ensemble, or marching band). This ensemble meets daily during the school day, and has 5-7 afterschool rehearsals during the school year. The concerts take place in November, March, and May. 

In the symphonic band, advanced musicianship, music theory, and instrument pedagogy will be reinforced through the performance of contemporary and classic band literature of a mature nature at concerts, school assemblies, regional performances, and festivals.
