Concert Band 

The concert band is the entry level ensemble at CHS that consists of only woodwind and brass instruments. Students do not need to audition for this ensemble, but should have at least one year of previous band experience in middle school. This ensemble meets daily during the school day, and has 5-7 afterschool rehearsals during the school year. The concerts take place in November, March, and May. 

In the concert band, basic musicianship, music theory, and instrument pedagogy will be reinforced through the performance of contemporary and classic band literature of a mature nature at concerts, school assemblies, regional performances, and festivals.
