Marching Band

The “Showband of Southern Maryland” is an elective taken after school for 1 credit. Members rehearse after school and in the evenings to perform five to six football games, seven to eight competitions, and three parades each fall. Mandatory rehearsals begin end of July - Early August and continue through the middle of November. Placement for this ensemble is by audition only. Auditions occur in late May to early June. Students in 7th - 12th grade are eligable for audition.

• 7/30 - 8/1 (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.)

• 8/4 - 8/8 (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.)

• 8/11 - 8/12 (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.)

Weekly Rehearsal Schedule: 

• Monday (3-6:00)

• Wednesday (3-6:00)

• Friday (3-6:00) or Football Game
