The Environmental Solutionary Teacher Fellowship (ESTF) Program begins with the opportunity to develop a strong foundational understanding and skill set in environmental sustainability, project/problem based learning, and solutionary teaching and learning. 

Pre-Learning For First-Time Fellows (FTF)

First-Time Fellow (FTF) - Module 1: Environmental Crisis Text Set

The purpose of this module is to support First-Time Fellows to explore different perspectives on the environmental crisis facing humanity today. 

All Fellows - Module 2: Research WebQuests

Everyone in the fellowship has a different level of background knowledge on key environmental topics such as ecological overshoot, climate change, and environmental and climate justice. Therefore, this task is an invitation to do some knowledge building using pre-curated resources, and to focus your research on whatever you are most interested in.  

First-Time Fellow (FTF) - Module 3: The World Becomes What We Teach

This pre-learning task supports fellows to explore the philosophical and operational shifts needed for implementing effectively. The intended outcome of this master class is to develop a shared vocabulary and lens for the foundational philosophies driving this fellowship, as well as build the toolkit of teaching strategies for environmentally focused solutionary teaching and learning.

Senior Fellow (SF) - Module 1: Introduction to Coaching

These pre-learning activities support return fellows and to support a first time fellow in the “guided implementation” phase of the program.
