For this project, you will create a lip sync animation using the character you just created. You'll also set up a basic rig in After Effects for your character's secondary action.
Audio: You may either record your own audio using the Zoom recorder, or download or otherwise record found audio. The spoken words need to be clear and easy to understand, without a lot of background noise. Keep the audio relatively short at 15 - 20 seconds, but make it something that stands on its own, with a clear beginning and ending.
Mouths document: Using your choice of Illustrator or Photoshop, create a document with your individual mouths illustrating phonemes on individual layers. It helps to have your character image in this document to size and place your mouths correctly. Save the document as a .psd or .ai file, and import it as a composition into After Effects.
Animating the lips: To create the lip sync After Effects project, use the Lip Sync guide under the Resources tab.
