How should one apply for PMRF?

PMRF applicants fall under the Direct or Lateral Entry mode.

Direct Entry Mode: For newly admitted PhD scholars (eg : Admitted in May 2022 round for the May 2022 round of PMRF Entry).

Lateral Entry Mode: For existing PhD scholars (including Direct PhD and upgraded to PhD). Please see the link below for details of eligibility.

There are 2 stages in the selection process:

1. Shortlisting stage: IIT Madras would internally scrutinize your application to decide on nominating you for the selection stage.

2. Selection Stage: If your application is nominated by IIT Madras, then the PMRF Nodal Committee would evaluate the same for a final decision.
