PreK is our JAM! We are the only organization in Maine providing primarily preschool services on-site at preschools. Our SLPs have very little travel and no case management. We get together monthly and enjoy each others' company as much as our colleagueship.
The Southern Maine Administrative Collaborative teams with Child Development Services (CDS) to provide speech and language services to 3-5 year olds across Maine.
Our SLPs work in-person with children in southern Maine preschools and daycares, as well as at our Biddeford clinic. We also provide remote speech therapy to children throughout the state, in districts where there is a shortage of SLPs.
Our organization is part of a state-wide initiative fostering inter-district collaboration to meet special education needs across this geographically diverse state, achieving efficiencies for schools and cost-savings for taxpayers.
Michelle joined the team in 2021 after working at Boston Children's Hospital, among other places. With SMAC, she provides speech services at the Children's Journey - Arundel preschool and Spurwink's therapeutic preschool.
Jaime provides speech services at the Children's Collaborative Preschool and Spurwink's therapeutic preschool.
Ayla provided speech services at Spurwink's therapeutic preschool for 6 years. Starting in Fall '23, she will be providing itinerant services for preschoolers in the greater Augusta area.
Meg competed her Clinical Fellowship year with SMAC in 2021 and as of Fall '23 she will be the SLP at Dayton Consolidated Schools, from Preschool through 5th grade.
Sarah has been providing speech services to preschoolers across New England for 13 years. She currently provides speech services at Biddeford Preschool, as well as managing the SMAC SLP team.
