The SMAC Psychological Evaluation Team provides remote and in-person PreK-12 psychological evaluations throughout Maine. 

Team decision-making on remote vs. in-person evaluation. In-person student evaluations. Remote elements of evaluation, when appropriate. Support in developing referral/evaluation questions. Direct communication with team members. Comprehensive and timely evaluation reports. Attendance at IEP meetings.

Dr. Nancy Smith

Nancy R. Smith is an experienced Psychologist who has practiced in school districts in Maine for over 20 years. She graduated from high school in rural Maine and attended Colby College, Harvard University Graduate School of Education and the University of Rhode Island where she received a Ph.D. in School Psychology. Nancy completed a re-specialization in School Neuropsychology from the School Neuropsychology Institute and she has extensive experience consulting with day treatment programs for students with emotional/behavioral needs. In her spare time Nancy enjoys skiing, kayaking, hiking, and exploring the mountains and lakes of rural Maine. 

Dr. Chris Chiverton

Dr. Chiverton is a clinical psychologist specializing in psychological assessment of children, adolescents, and young adults. He has experience in the assessment of developmental delays, Autism, ADHD, behavioral and mood disorders with a varied population. Dr. Chiverton prides himself on offering useful and understandable reports as well as feedback sessions. He graduated from William James College in 2016 with a degree in Clinical Psychology.

Kristen Mike

Kristen Mike is a school psychologist who became part of the SMAC team at the start of the 2021-2022 school year.  She came to SMAC with 16 years of experience practicing as a school psychologist in Arizona and has experience evaluating and working with children and young adults ages 2-22.  She enjoys working with students with a wide variety of disabilities and needs, including students with low-incidence disabilities and students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.  

Hallie Tuller

Hallie Tuller is a school psychologist who joined the SMAC team in 2021.
