Dr. Richard D. Harvey has a Ph.D. in both Industrial/Organizational and Social Psychology from the University of Kansas. For the past 30 years, he has been active in Management Consulting, Teaching, and Research. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are topics that cut across all three areas. For example, he supervises a research lab that has focused research on the measurement of inclusion and identifying the factors that lead to either resistance or facilitation of DEI efforts. He teaches both graduate-level and undergraduate-level courses that cover prejudice, bias, stereotyping, discrimination, and statistics. Finally, he provides DEI consultation on DEI research and assessment (e.g., surveys, interviews, focus groups), DEI competency modeling and strategic planning, and DEI training/education.
