STEP ONE
Formal Observation
STEP 1: Getting a glimpse into your classroom, be it in person or virtual, is crucial to support your work! Your Supervisor and an ASL Language Specialist will observe a class of your choice and provide you with feedback.
Click on the link below for the authorization form.
Once the formal observation concludes, your Supervisor and the ASL Language Specialist will send you an email with feedback attached in PDF form.
TIME FRAME: At minimum- 2 weeks will be allocated to complete STEPS 2, 3 & 4
STEP TWO & THREE
English-ASL Interpreting Sample
STEP 2: Using the platform, GoReact, you will create a sample of your English- ASL skills.
HIs: You will have 2 source videos (Elementary/MS and HS levels). You are required to interpret for both classrooms and notify your Supervisor of your preferred sample.

ASL-English Interpreting Sample
STEP 3: Using the platform, GoReact, you will create a sample of your ASL-English (HI).
HIs: Re-interpret for the source you did not use in your previous Performance Review (Elementary/MS OR the HS level). Notify your Supervisor when you have completed this step.

Additionally, use this time to ask teachers, HES, admin for letters of feedback to upload to your APR Questionnaire in Step 4.

Keep us up to speed on your professional memberships, current workshop list, updates on credentialing, upload feedback letters, etc!
FINAL STEP
Annual Performance Review Meeting
Once the above STEPS 1-4 are completed, your Supervisor will be in touch with you about dates/times for your official performance review meeting. Be sure to revisit your English-ASL GoReact Classroom and your ASL-English work on GoReact prior to your discussion.
Once a date/time has been confirmed, you will receive a copy of the performance review form on payroll. Please wait to get your Supervisor's scores and comments before adding your own.
When you have completed your scores and comments, remember to click SUBMIT.
