Unfortunately, there is a group of Unthinkables that love to get into kids brains. So, how can we defeat them?? I've thought of a few things so far, but maybe you can help me and brainstorm some more ideas!

Strategies to defeat GlassMan:
- STOP and think about the size of the problem
- Tell yourself to take a break and walk away
- Ask for help
- Take a deep breath to calm down
Strategies to defeat RockBrain:
- Take a deep breath in through your nose, out through mouth
- Notice what you need - a walk, some water, a snack
- Be flexible
- Agree to follow someone else's plan
Strategies to defeat Brain Eater:
- Turn your eyes and body away from what is distracting you
- Use a fidget to keep your body busy while your brain thinks about the task
- Notice when your brain thinks of something else and get it to refocus to the task
Strategies to defeat Worry Wall:
- Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and relax your shoulders down from your neck
- Find a thought to help you change how you are thinking
- Ask someone for help
Strategies to defeat WasFunnyOnce:
- Ask yourself: is this a silly or a serious moment? Where should I be on the silly scale?
- If it's a serious moment, tell yourself I'll save it for recess or another time
- Use the one time only rule: Tell your joke only once so it doesn't get boring

- Take a deep breath in and out and notice what's around you
- Use your eyes, ears, and face to listen
- Check with your eyes/ears to see how others are acting and match their calmness.
- Ask for a movement break (choose 3 from the poster) or fidget if needed.

- STOP and think: is this person or work really trying to be mean to me?
- Ask yourself: What would be a more positive way to think about this?
- Think about something that you are grateful for

- Look at others - do they seem interested in what you are saying? Are their faces curiously looking at you?
- Ask a question about what others are talking about
- Turn off your "me" button and think about the group

- STOP and Think: Will what I say or do hurt someone's feelings?
- Keep those hurtful thoughts in your head and think about what you need in the situation.
- Use your words to ask others for what you want or tell others what you need with a kind tone.
Strategies to defeat Un-Wonderer:
- Look at the speaker
- Listen and then ask a question from what the person had to say
- Create people files in your brain where you store information on different people's interests
Strategies to defeat One-Sided Sid:
- Notice who else is around you and what else those people might like
- Look with your eyes - if the group or person is busy, save what you want to say for later
- Look with your eyes - are others happy?
Strategies to defeat Space Invader:
- Use the one arm rule to keep space between you and your friend
- Ask: do others bodies look like this in this situation?
- Ask yourself: What do the faces of others and voices of others around me look/sound like? Comfortable? Uncomfortable?
Strategies to defeat D.O.F.:
- Take a deep breath and think: It's just a game
- Think: If I am a player only focused on myself, people may have bad thoughts about me and not want to play with me again..
- Think: Tiny problem. I will still get a turn or win another time.
- If it's really making me feel in the red zone, take a deep breath and walk away
Strategies to defeat Body Snatcher:
- Think: Where should my body and brain be?
- Point and move your body, brain, and eyes to the task.
- Use your body and brain to show you are interested (nod, smile, show your feelings with facial expressions)
