Update Menu Items Out of Stock
Slice Register allows Pizzerias to 86 (mark as out of stock) an item on a product or product type level for 12 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, and indefinitely. Marking as out of stock will remove the item from your online menu for the duration selected.
There are two possible methods for updating Menu items that are out of stock.
Here are the steps for the first one:
Tap the Settings tab, then click on the Menu and choose Stock Availability.
On the Inventory list tap the menu item that should be marked as out of stock.
A Stock Availability modal will be displayed.
If the Menu item you need to 86 is out of Stock on the Product Level, then you should tap the ‘Update Stock Availability’.
A ‘Stock availability’ modal will display and you will have to choose from the following options:
Out of Stock 12hrs
Out of Stock 24hrs
Out of Stock 48hrs
Out of Stock Indefinitely
After selecting one of the above, the menu item will be displayed as out of stock for the chosen period.
If the Menu item you need to 86 is out of Stock on the Product Type Level, then you should choose the Type (different sizes) between the offered selection and tap ‘In Stock’.
A modal will display and you will have to choose from the following options:
Out of Stock 12hrs
Out of Stock 24hrs
Out of Stock 48hrs
Out of Stock Indefinitely
After selecting one of the above, the menu item type will be displayed as out of stock for the chosen period.
II The steps for using the second method are as follows:
Tap the Menu tab
Find the Menu item that should be marked as out of stock, tap the same, and hold longer on that menu item
A Stock Availability modal will be displayed.
If the Menu item you need to 86 is out of Stock on the Product Level, then you should tap the ‘Update Stock Availability’.
A modal will display and you will have to choose from the following options:
Out of Stock 12hrs
Out of Stock 24hrs
Out of Stock 48hrs
Out of Stock Indefinitely
After selecting one of the above, the menu item will be displayed as out of stock for the chosen period.

Note: We’ll automatically bring the item back after the chosen period has passed. If you choose 'Out of Stock indefinitely' when that item is back in stock you would have to indicate that manually.

Scale Menu Items
A way for users to manually select the font size they would like for their menu categories and items.
Tap the Settings tab, then click on the Menu and choose Scale Menu Items.
Move the sliding scale to the left or right to select the desired font size
Show Suggested Tip Amounts on the Receipts
Choose whether you'd like the suggested tip percentages to appear on your receipts.
Tap the Settings tab, then click on the Receipt Settings and choose Receipt Printing.
To display the suggested tip percentages on your receipts, simply turn the toggle on.
Receipt Printers
The process of adding a printer to your Slice Register POS is simple. As long as the LAN is properly set up and running and the printer is connected to the network and powered on, the printer will be discoverable by your Slice Register application.
Tap the Settings tab, then click on the Receipt Settings and choose Receipt Printers.
Next, tap the Receipt Printers option.
Your Slice Register app will proceed to discover any printers that are available on the network and ready to be added. If there is an available printer this will be displayed in the Newly discovered printers section. Wait for this section to be populated.
Next, tap the Epson TM-m30II-NT printer option*.
Enter the name of the printer. It is recommended to use descriptive/informative names for ease of identification, i.e. Kitchen Printer for the kitchen printer and Customer Receipt for the customer receipt printer.
Tap the Print Test Page option to print a test receipt. If the receipts print, it means you have correctly added the printer and it is now ready for use.
Finally, if you want the customer receipt to print automatically every time after an order is cashed out, make sure to toggle the Customer Receipt option in the Automatic printing: Register orders section. If not toggled, the user will have the option to print the receipt manually at the time of cashing out the order.
Idle Screen Timeout
Adjust for how long it should take for the idle screen to appear.
Tap the Settings tab,
Tap on the Idle ScreenSettings and choose Idle Screen Timeout
Next, by sliding the scale choose a time between 2 and 20 minutes!
Idle Screen when 0 New Orders
This feature will prevent the idle screen from showing if there are 0 online orders!
Tap the Settings tab,
Tap on the Idle ScreenSettings
Turn off the 'Hide idle screen when 0 new online orders' toggle.

Download Changes from Slice
To implement into Register any changes you've made in your Owner’s Portal you need to first tap the DOWNLOAD CHANGES FROM SLICE button. This will ensure that any modifications you've made are successfully updated.
