The 25th Iambic Pentameter Awards ceremony and banquet (marketed as the 25th Annual Shakespeare Banquet), presented by the Iambic Pentameter Club of San Luis Obispo High School (SLOHSIP), honored the organization's best student theatrical performances of the 2018–19 school year and took place on February 16, 2019, at the Sea Pines Golf Resort in Los Osos, CA, starting at 6:30 p.m. PST (9:30 p.m. EST). During the ceremony, Director's Awards (satirical awards) were presented in more than twenty non-competitive categories. Actress and director Kaylee Beardsley hosted the ceremony for the first time.
In related events, SLOHS ASB held its annual film festival awards ceremony, including awards for achievement in acting, at the San Luis Obispo High School Theatre on April 12, 2019. The Drama Club also held its annual Drama Banquet awards ceremony and year-end celebration at the San Luis Obispo High School Theatre on May 25, 2019.
Every cast member of the 2018–19 season production, A Midsummer Night's Dream, received an award. It was also announced that Beardsley would be succeeded by actor and director Ian McKay, who had applied with a pitch for an adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing.
