Eight S4 and four S5 ICT students is going to participate in the above competition (網絡攻防精英培訓暨攻防大賽) which includes a 3-day online workshop and a competition on cyber security. The competition aims to provide participants with simulated real-world cyber-attack and defense scenarios through a series of free training sessions and competitions, aiming to cultivate a new generation of cybersecurity professionals with practical skills and further strengthen Hong Kong's cyber defenses in the digital era
Five S4 and three S5 ICT students participated in the above competition. This competition is co-organized by the City University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Association for Computer Education, with the full support of the Academy for Gifted Education. The format follows the International Olympiad in Informatics, where participants are required to solve a series of algorithmic problems within a time limit using computer programming.
Two students entered the final round and earned the certificate of participation.
Five ICT students participated in the BattleAce Competition (HK Station) held on 26 & 27 June 2025 and won the Outstanding Team Award. This is an annual event designed for primary and secondary students to foster interest in robotics, mechanical design, and programming. Teams of three students build and program unique robotic warriors inspired by the Asian Games "Ultimate Armor" showcase. The competition emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and practical skills in mechanical engineering and coding. Held at Cyberport Mall, it offers a dynamic platform for youth to apply STEM knowledge creatively. Organized by ASK Idea HK, the event is free for schools and aims to cultivate students’ problem-solving abilities and enthusiasm for smart technology and robotics.
Two S2, Two S4 and Eight S5 students (6 out of 12 are ICT students) participated in the "Astron Space Lab 3" competition which requires students to design and program an experiment to be run on computers aboard the International Space Station (ISS). The programme involves hands-on workshops for students to enhance their knowledge of Python programming. Students will also be guided to polish their skills in report writing and data analysis. Shortlisted teams will be offered chances to have their scientific experiments run on the ISS.
In an outstanding achievement, Team 1 secured 2nd Runner-Up, while Team 2 earned the Experiment Idea Award, showcasing their creativity and technical expertise.

Three students from the S5 ICT class participated in the "Sensor Secondary Python Programming Contest 2024" on 4 - 6 July, 2024. The contest was conducted in a team-based format. Participating teams were tasked with solving a series of programming problems by developing Python programs from scratch within a 3-hour time limit, using a single shared computer. This format challenged the participants' problem-solving abilities, as well as their teamwork and collaboration skills.
Five students from the S5 ICT class participated in the concluding stage of the "Inter-school Cybersecurity Competition 2023" on 15 Aug, 2023. They went head-to-head with 19 other schools and emerged victorious, earning the merit award. The competition was jointly organized by ATiLE and IVE (Chaiwan) with the objective of promoting cybersecurity awareness and nurturing cybersecurity professionals for the 21st century.
The competition provided them with a platform to showcase their talents and demonstrate their understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices. They were able to apply the knowledge they acquired in their ICT studies to practical situations, further enhancing their technical expertise.
Eight S6 ICT students in two groups entered the final round of the "Inter-school Cybersecurity Competition 2022" held on 17/12/2022. They competed with 21 groups from other schools and one of our groups finally won the 1st runner-up. This competition is co-organised by ATiLE and IVE (Chaiwan). The aims of the competition is to promote cybersecurity and cultivate cybersecurity talents for the 21st century.
Our school was invited to join the "Robomaster International Exhibition Game 2022" and its final battle was successfully held on 9 Jan 2022. 16 teams from 7 regions (Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Australia, Ukraine, Russia & Singapore) battled in the game and we once again won the 1st Runner-up of the competition.
7 students from our Robotics Team (mostly ICT students) won the 1st Runner-up of the "RoboMaster Youth Tournament 2021 (Hong Kong)" held on 18 & 19 December, 2021.
