Visit to HKT Network Operation Centre

Four S6 ICT students were invited to visit the HKT Network Operation Centre (NOC) on 17 Oct 2023. During the visit, students learned about the system management behind the operation of the territory-wide networks (including mobile network, broadband network, pay-TV and fixed line). Besides, students also visited the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Acquire knowledge about the tools employed, such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response), and Threat Intelligence Platform, to identify and address any potential risks or network security incidents.

The visit offered students practical insights into the field of network operations and cybersecurity. This hands-on experience and exposure to real-world scenarios will undoubtedly contribute to their career development in the ICT industry. 

CityU CENG Tech Day 2023

Six S5 ICT students  joined the CityU CENG Tech Day 2023, organized by the College of Engineering, on 18, Feb, 2023.  The latest technology trends, the most forefront engineering discoveries and applied applications were showcased via a series of featured talks, interactive workshops and demonstrations.

AI and Core Machine Learning Workshop 

In April 2023, the IT Innovation Lab funding subsidized a 3-day AI and Core Machine Learning Workshop, and 20 ICT students, from S4 to S5, were graciously invited to participate.  The workshop aimed to provide participants with valuable insights and practical knowledge in the fields of AI and Machine Learning. 

Merit Award of the Inter-school Cybersecurity Competition 2023

Five students from the S5 ICT class participated in the concluding stage of the "Inter-school Cybersecurity Competition 2023" on 15 Aug, 2023. They went head-to-head with 19 other schools and emerged victorious, earning the merit award. The competition was jointly organized by ATiLE and IVE (Chaiwan) with the objective of promoting cybersecurity awareness and nurturing cybersecurity professionals for the 21st century.

The competition provided them with a platform to showcase their talents and demonstrate their understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices. They were able to apply the knowledge they acquired in their ICT studies to practical situations, further enhancing their technical expertise.

1st Runner-up of the Inter-school Cybersecurity Competition 2022

Eight S6 ICT students in two groups entered the final round of the "Inter-school Cybersecurity Competition 2022" held on 17/12/2022. They competed with 21 groups from other schools and one of our groups finally won the 1st runner-up. This competition is co-organised by ATiLE and IVE (Chaiwan). The aims of the competition is to promote cybersecurity and cultivate cybersecurity talents for the 21st century. 

1st Runner-up of the Robomaster International Exhibition Game 2022

Our school was invited to join the "Robomaster International Exhibition Game 2022" and its final battle was successfuly held on 9 Jan 2022. 16 teams from 7 regions (HongKong, Macao, Taiwan, Australia, Ukraine, Russia & Singapore) battled in the game and we once again won the 1st Runner-up of the compeition. Congratulations to the 7 students of our Robotics Team.

1st Runner-up of Robomaster 2021 Youth Tournament (HK)
