In the 2020-2021 school year we launched dual language pathway classrooms in kindergarten. In these classrooms, students receive instruction in both English and Spanish throughout their day. Classes will be added to each grade level as this first group makes their way through the elementary school. By August 2024 we will have computer science pathway classrooms for students to get more robust computer science instruction. This would begin in kindergarten and continue on with these students throughout middle school.

As teachers become more confident in computer science, we will begin to seek out teachers who are interested in becoming their grade level computer science pathway teachers. We will actively recruit teachers to our district that have an interest in teaching computer science in their classroom.

Our program will continue to be monitored closely by our leadership team with input from our larger computer science team. This will be communicated through bi-weekly meetings as a leadership team and monthly meetings with the computer science team. At the end of each school year we will evaluate our program to see how are are meeting our goals and continue to refine our program as needed.
