When our computer science program began, we received training and support from BootUp which uses block coding on Scratch and Scratch Jr.. As much as we enjoyed and benefited from BootUp, their curriculum alone does not meet all the CSTA standards. We knew CS in SF was CSTA standards aligned so we created the curriculum/table below to have a standards aligned curriculum in place.

We've continued to use BootUp as a bulk of our computer science instruction at the elementary level. In the spring of 2022, we applied for the Computer Science Curriculum and Professional Development Grants from the Iowa Department of Education. If we are awarded this grant, we would then be able to create a stand alone computer science course at our middle school level with CoderZ. At our elementary level, we would continue using BootUp and incorporate Code.org's curriculum to better meet the CSTA standards. This grant would also allow us receive training from NewBoCo at the elementary and middle school level.
