Composition, Focus, & Light Photo

This photo is an assignment that focuses on composition, focus, and light. To take this photo, I shined two flashlights onto the flower. I positioned the flower so it was on the right side of the photo, following the Rule of Thirds. To focus on the flower, I turned off the light in the room and toned down the brightness so the background becomes pitch black, allowing the flower to be the only thing with color.

Line Photo

The focus in this photo are the power lines and the rays of sunshine. I took this photo when the sun was setting but I wished I took it on another day where the sky would be a red, purplish color.

Shape Photo

The shapes in this photo are the trunks of the trees. I took this photo as I was walking home. I also used my selfie camera to take this because I was too lazy to bend backwards for the other camera.

Form Photo

The focus of my photo is the Glossier product with the silver top. I put the other product in the back so my photo wouldn't look too empty. The white floor is a piece of paper.

Portrait

My model is Vermaigne. I used an iPhone 8 to take this photo in portrait mode. I had to blur around Vermaigne because the background was a fence so the portrait mode created a very harsh line around her. Using Facetune, I also detailed her eyes, lips, and the side of her hoodie. After that, I used VSCO to adjust the exposure, contrast, brightness, and etc. As for the filter, I used "Mono" from the camera roll edit section.
