The PB & J Tennis Scholarship will be awarded to one male and one female senior graduating from South Kingstown High School who has been positively impacted by tennis. The award will honor my father Paul "P", my husband Rob Babigian "B", and my twin sons’ first tennis coach, Doug James "J".  Tennis has been instrumental in my twin sons’ lives.  In particular for Jonah, the tennis court is the one place he feels he can truly focus, find the essence of joy, and channel his incredible drive to be the best version of himself.  This scholarship will be awarded to students who have demonstrated exemplary performance in dedication, leadership, and kindness both on and off the tennis court. 

AWARD CRITERIA:

A history of playing tennis in the past four (4) years 

Attestation of good academic standing 

Has spent time giving back to the community through volunteering

Demonstrated leadership and kindness on and off the tennis court

Ability to articulate how tennis has positively impacted the student mentally, physically, and emotionally

Awarded by a small committee selected by Rebecca Plonsky Babigian.
