C1 - ITALY - 5 to 9 March 2018
Participants - 3 students and two teachers per country. The teachers are preferably ICT and English, so they can assist students during the practical part of the exchange. The students will be selected from the target group of 13 year olds in each school.
The exchange presupposes three parts:
1. Induction and team building. Participants are given a tour of the school, attend common ice-breaking activities, present their school, education system, city and country and are given a tour of the city.
2. Topic-related activities - the host school runs workshops about using ICT tools and applications for the creation of digital lessons/presentations, alternatives to PowerPoint (e.g. Powtoon – Animation Presentation Software) that the students will work with throughout the project. A balanced approach to theory and practise will be attained. Under the supervision of participating teachers (1 ICT and 1 English teacher), students will then have to apply the newly acquired knowledge in order to create lesson sequences on topics previously agreed upon (e.g. customs and traditions).
3. Feedback and evaluation
- students complete feedback forms on the contents of workshop and the exchange;
- students' lessons are assessed by host students;
- participants answer questionnaires about host country.
- certificates of attendance are given and Europass mobility documents are completed and signed.
Throughout the week, cultural events or other team-building activities will be organised by
the host, in order to strengthen the cohesion and cultural dimension of the project.
After the exchange, workshops of transfer of knowledge and practices are held in each institution - both students and teachers are in charge.
