How are IPPEs and APPEs scheduled?
PCP TLC participants typically identify a pharmacist at their practice site that currently serves as an IPPE or APPE preceptor for PCP students. The PCP TLC participant then selects an existing IPPE or APPE rotation schedule that best fits their residency or fellowship program's schedule. Once a student rotation is selected, the PCP TLC participant is added as a primary preceptor in CORE (our rotation management software) so that they will be able to see rotation requirements and complete evaluations.
If no PCP student preceptors are available at your site, please discuss this with your mentor or a PCP TLC coordinator who can help you to explore options with the experiential learning office.
