Indian immigrants have created a vibrant and diverse community. The heart of it is located in Artesia, a city in Los Angeles county. The Indian enclave "Little India" can be found on Pioneer Boulevard and it the largest Indian enclave in Southern California. This area is a place where Indians can gather to shop, eat, and attend cultural events such as Indian Independence Day, Diwali, Navratri, and more. Additionally, the Indian newspaper India West Publications is based in Artesia (Nakanishi & Lai, 2003). This also serves as a location where tourists and native Californians can appreciate and learn more about Indian culture through their events.
