Time Limits

No units, or grade credit will be given for any courses completed more than seven years prior to the completion date of the master's degree. In cases where courses have expired after seven years, the student would either have to repeat the course or petition to revalidate a course via examination. Policy S17-7 governs the rules for revalidation of courses.

Note that a total of 9 units in a 30-unit program or 12 units of a program with more than 30 units can be revalidated. Course credit earned through the transfer of units from other institutions cannot be revalidated.
