"Loyola Law School is located in the legal, financial and media capital of California. Most of downtown LA’s major law firms are a five-minute ride away on the school’s continuously running shuttle. And just a little farther are the city’s major courts, including Los Angeles County Superior Court and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. In fact, Loyola is just blocks from the largest government district outside of Washington, D.C. – closer to downtown LA courts than any other law school. It is home to world-renowned faculty, and academic programs at the leading edge of the legal field. Our students want to change the world, and they’re doing it.
Loyola Law is the first ABA-approved school in California with a pro bono graduation requirement and we are committed to ethics and the public interest. Loyola's century-long commitment to social justice and public interest is embodied in the Loyola Social Justice Law Clinic, a diverse collective of 20+ live-client legal clinics. Our clinics provide high-quality, holistic legal services to under-resourced individuals and communities all across Southern California and demand accountability at all levels of our justice system. Our 1,100 students donate more than 60,000 hours per year to nonprofit organizations and have helped get 15 wrongly convicted people out of prison and off of death row. They have helped dozens of other clients convicted to life-without-parole sentences as juveniles achieve early release based on mitigating factors. Furthermore, our 20,000 alumni network extends to all 50 states and 35 countries, providing a robust support system and professional connections for our graduates worldwide.
Loyola Law School offers a comprehensive legal education with both a full-time day JD program and a hybrid part-time evening program. The full-time day JD program is a three-year commitment designed for students who can dedicate their time fully to their studies. The hybrid evening program spans four years and is tailored for students who have other commitments, such as work or family responsibilities. This program combines on-campus classes one night a week with virtual instruction, offering flexibility without compromising on the quality of education. Entertainment law, cybersecurity, juvenile justice, conflict resolution, and immigration law are a few of the areas where Loyola Law is defining the state of the art. These programs are enhanced by the practical experience students gain through Loyola's Social Justice Law Clinic and other hands-on opportunities. "
