April Update

The contents of this page is mostly repeated information from what we sent you on April 6th at approximately 2:05 PDT

Subject: Your DDNRC Conference Session!

Hello Facilitators!

On behalf of the DDNRC Conference Committee, we hope you are getting as excited as we are for the Conference! Thank you so very much, once again, for being willing to contribute to the dialogue community your wisdom this coming June. We would not have a conference would it not be for your awesomeness in proposing and accepting the invitation to facilitate. Thanks again!  This may be a “no brainer” but please remember to register for the conference.  Information regarding registration and lodging is available on our new (and ever evolving) conference website!

In this update (mostly mirroring the email we sent you on April 6th at approximately 2:05pm PDT) we will share with you some more specifics about the day, time, and location of your workshop and/or presentation, a draft of how your proposal will show up in print in a program and on the conference’s website, in addition to some expectations for facilitating at the conference. All of the information we share with you in this email will also live on the conference website on the Facilitator Resources page (except the specifics for your session).

Program and Website Display of your Session.

Carefully inspect the text of your session’s listing below which includes information about you and your co-presenters (if applicable) and conference themes. If everything looks acceptable to you, you do not need to contact us. If you have any edits to this, please reply to the April 6th email with your edits by May 1st. After May 1st, we will print what we’ve got into the printed schedule and update the website at that time.  For your information: we have copied and pasted what you gave to us on your proposal into the April 6th.  Please refer to the email we sent you for more details.

We also wish to share some additional information about the rooms, expectations about Audio/Visual needs and the like.

What to expect at the conference for your session:

Sharing Handouts/Resources:

If you wish to bring printed copies of any materials for your workshop participants.  We recommend bringing approximately 30 copies.  There is a copy center in the Student Union.  Hours may vary during summer hours, please consult this website for more information.  Please note that this print shop works independently from SJSU and the DDNRC Conference.

If you wish to share electronic copies of your session materials with your participants and/or the larger conference community, please use this form to upload what you would like to share. We will do our best to post what you share on the community resources page of the conference website as soon as we can.

That’s all we’ve got for the moment. As always, should you have questions, do not hesitate to contact craig at or Sam.  Contact info is below.

Sincerely,

craig & Sam
