Abstract
In the time I will have with you I will cover several topics. I will start with an overview about the field and the job market--I'm sure of interest to many of you. I will also talk about the unexpected changes that can occur along your journey and how you can take advantage, if ready. I will give a little detail of the research and application in catalysis, an area that I have much familiarity with, and some of the careers it generates for chemical engineers. Finally, I will give my view of some of the important job skills you want to be developing as you move from your educational journey into the chemical applications workforce or advanced research.
